Copa América 2024
El presidente de la Conmebol aplaudió la clasificación de Argentina a la siguiente ronda de la Copa América.
Este martes, la Selección Chilena cayó agónicamente por 0 a 1 ante su símil de Argentina, en un encuentro valido por la segunda fecha del Grupa A de la Copa América 2024.
El compromiso que se desarrolló en el MetLife Stadium de East Rutherford, del estado de Nueva Jersey, no estuvo exento de polémicas, pues el árbitro uruguayo Andrés Matonte hizo caso omiso de ir al VAR en dos jugadas: en la primera, Cristián Romero le pegó un manotazo en el rostro a Víctor Dávila, mientras que después desestimó una posible tarjeta roja sobre Rodrigo De Paul, quien propinó un feroz planchazo a Gabriel Suazo.
Lo cierto es que este resultado hizo que la Albiceleste clasificara automáticamente a los cuartos de final del prestigioso certamen continental.

En esta ocasión, Alejandro Domínguez, presidente de la Conmebol, compartió su alegría por esta situación a través de su cuenta de X (Ex Twitter) y le dedicó un especial mensaje.
“¡Felicitaciones, Argentina, por la clasificación a los cuartos de final de la CONMEBOL Copa América!”, tuiteo el dirigente.
Rápidamente este tuit se llenó de comentarios de los fanáticos chilenos, quienes aprovecharon la instancia para sacarle en cara las polémicas jugadas y el arbitraje del juez central charrúa.
